Color of Evil Series

THE COLOR OF EVIL series presents you with characters who live, breathe and die in small town Cedar Falls, Iowa. Tad McGreevy, the focus of the series, has a paranormal power, Tetrachromatic Super Vision, that allows him to see auras that tell him whether a person is good or evil. At night, in horrifying nightmares, Tad relives the crimes of the evil-doers. Eventually, becomes the target of a particularly lethal antagonist, Michael Clay (aka Pogo the Clown) who wants to eliminate the teen-aged boy. In three books, we witness the power of evil faced off against a good-hearted young boy who just wants to protect those he loves.

Beginning with the first manifestations of this supernatural power at the age of 8, the book quickly takes us forward to the high school years of Tad and the band of friends we come to know well. We follow their progress from their junior year of high school through graduation with danger always lurking in the background. As others have said, it’s quite a ride.

Begin the journey today with this specially-priced trilogy: THE COLOR OF EVIL; RED IS FOR RAGE; and KHAKI=KILLER..

“THE COLOR OF EVIL series is old-school psychological horror, artfully blended with new-school shocks and twists. Bravo!” —Jonathan Maberry, New York Times best-selling author, multiple Bram Stoker winner.

Praise Color Of Evil Series Boxed Set by Connie Corcoran Wilson

‘The book has all the elements of a compelling mystery and an inventive paranormal twist. One must credit Wilson for treating her teenage protagonists with respect, as they face adult dilemmas and resolve them with maturity and grace.”- Kirkus

“Connie Corcoran Wilson weaves a deftly fine scalpel in an age where a crude blade is more the norm. Her work is a smooth, subtle hybrid mix of science fiction, thriller, and horror that realizes a unique and pointed vision in the great tradition of Phillip K. Dick and Ray Bradbury. Her voice is a wonder to behold, at once dark and somber while maintaining a glimmer of hope that shines in the hearts of her heroes, who cling to the light. Like Stephen King, nothing escapes her discerning eye, the result of which is tale after tale that bleed life onto the page, both literally and figuratively.”–Jon Land, bestselling author of the Caitlin Strong Series

“Wilson’s characters come alive on the page. Comparisons to Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Philip K. Dick aside, Wilson has spent 33 years teaching students in this age range. She knows what she is talking about.”–Gary Braver, author of “Flashback” and 8 other thrillers.

Dispocalypse

In a post-apocalyptic world ruled by a Governor who is both feared and worshipped, Willow is a seventeen-year-old girl who is just trying to get through her last year of studies. But when her father dies, she experiences strange dreams that change everything about how she looks at the world and at herself.

Haunted by the tragedy, Willow begins pushing herself beyond anything she could have imagined she was capable of. It’s only when she catches the attention of some of the Governor’s minions that her world is turned upside-down.

“Michael Rothman is a writer with interests in many areas: from fantasy adventures to nail-biting science fiction thrillers.  As a result, his stories are like a roller coaster that carry you away into imaginative worlds where surprises abound, and the only thing that you can expect, is the unexpected.  So sit back and enjoy the ride!”-David Farland, New York Times Bestselling Author

Praise for Dispocalypse by Michael Rothman

“The duality of worlds was very interesting and it hooked me completely especially with the way Willow was made out in those scenes. The presence of a world we are familiar with and then another which had totally different geography and races drew me in slowly but steadily.
The world building was unique and it was a blend of dystopia and fantasy. I believe that was my favourite part of the book. It’s not usual that fantasy elements are introduced into a dystopian/apocalyptic tale. And it has more of a feel of the events happening after apocalypse so it was appropriately named too.

Overall,  the read was a great enjoyable one with ample fighting and adventures. I can recommend this to fantasy and dystopian lovers equally.”- Floryie, Travelogue Of a Book Addict

“I like how this book kept me guessing. It certainly didn’t expect the book to go to the places that it did. You think that one thing will happen, but the story surprises you and goes a totally different direction. The lack of predictability was quite refreshing.
The pacing in this was great! I was surprised how fast I was able to read this once I got started. Nothing seemed to drag. The flow was just perfect.  I highly recommend this book! It is one of the most unique stories that I have had the pleasure of reading. The meshing of genres really makes this one stand out.”- Vanessa [Queen Alchemy ], The Alchemy of Ink

I loved reading it, and can truly say it’s unique! I love how it’s written, and the wording/tone really drew me in. The prologue is somewhat confusing, and it took me a chapter or so to really understand what was happening, but it was a quick read, and easy to follow after that. I also enjoyed the illustrations, an added bonus in any story!

“I loved the characters, and felt the plot was unique, and well thought out. I enjoyed the quick pace, and read a large portion of the book in one sitting!
For this time this is a stand along, still I still have some questions, but I would love another book to answer them! XD (OK so I really just want to visit Willow’s world again!)”-Stephanie, Adventures Thru Wonderland

“Dispocalypse is a Shannara-esque post-apocalyptic return of magic tale, rich with prophecy, redolent with the stink of evil, and vibrant with the undaunted clamors of a young woman who will not allow her will to be constrained. It walks a delightful line between science fiction and fantasy and delivers a tale sure to please readers looking for unusual adventure fiction.”- Big Dave, Amazon Reviewer

About Michael RothmanDispocalypse by Michael Rothman

Michael Rothman  is an Army brat, a polyglot, and the first person in his family born in the United States. Given his first-born American status, hegrew up with English as his third language. As a child, he always had an active imagination and would continuously drive his family crazy with a myriad of “what if” questions.

After a while, they shoved him at the local public library and that’s when he was finally introduced to the world of books, and more specifically, science fiction and fantasy novels. His earliest influences were J.R.R. Tolkien’s classics as well as those of Isaac Asimov. Titles such as these tickled his imagination both as a child and into adulthood.

#1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER IN HUMOR, TEEN FICTION, AND MYSTERY!

What if you could know exactly what your friends are thinking? High school student Winter Reynolds can, but there’s a catch…

She can only read people’s thoughts when she’s kissing them.

When a member of the track team is murdered, Winter has an opportunity to use her special ability to find the killer. Trouble is, kissing everyone on the track team isn’t such a good idea when you have a new boyfriend. Talk about complications!

Should Winter persevere using her secret power to catch the murderer still in their midst, even if it means risking her relationship with her one true love?

Mature Content Warning: Mild profanity and a graphic murder scene. Adult situations in a teen setting. While humorous, this book also explores the underbelly of teen life. 16+

Praise for Into You:

“From the first page, this novel is UN-PUT-DOWN-ABLE! The novel is packed with humor and heartache, romance and betrayal, life and death.“- Rebecca Hamilton, Bestselling Author of The Forever Girl

“In her debut novel, Into You, Riley J Ford takes an interesting premise and turns it into one heckuva good book. The writing is sharp. The characters are well developed. The story moves along at a crisp pace.  There’s a ton of humor in this book: just-plain-funny humor; dark humor; romantic humor; even tragic humor. If Ford was out to showcase how well she can master the subtle nuances between them, she can color me convinced.  But it isn’t all fun and games. Sure, there’s a murder to solve, but Ford’s story really delves into some dark and weighty places along the way that make the murder seem somewhat tame in comparison (at least until the murder is later described). Although readers will be satisfied with the ending, Into You isn’t all sunshine and lollipops, with a cute little HEA to top it off.  Into You is a well written, wonderful read that I highly recommend.”Thomas Winship, Vaempires Revolution

“Riley J. Ford has crafted a novel that is impossible to put down, and almost as impossible to classify.  Is it paranormal?  Is it comedy? Is it mystery?  Is it romance?  I think it’s all these things and more: it’s amazing!  Winter has a strange superpower: when she kisses people, she can hear their thoughts.  At first, this looks like a fun way to get Winter to experiment with her sexuality, but when one of her friends winds up murdered at a track meet, Winter’s superpower suddenly carries great responsibility: if she can kiss the killer, she can bring about justice.  But where should she start? And what if people are able to protect their thoughts from her somehow?  Winter embarks on a sometimes hilarious, often emotional quest for justice, becoming a kissing bandit as a matter of course.  This book will keep you turning the pages, hoping that Winter doesn’t wind up in hot water.”Jen McConnel, Weaving Words

“Full of humor. Sometimes it is the light, bubbly kind I expected from this book, but other times it is downright heart wrenching.” – Crich, Amazon Reviewer

“A wonderful coming of age book that will keep you laughing up until the very last page!” – Nostalgic0409 “FictionLoverExtrordinaire”, Amazon Reviewer

Kelly Callahan had everything going for her. Everything that is, except for a relationship. It wasn’t for the lack of trying, it just seemed like she was a magnet for all the wrong ones. But all of that was about to change the minute she laid eyes on Jake.
On a dare from her close friend, Michelle, Kelly accepts a challenge to date and become Jake’s girlfriend within three months. The consequence of losing is global humiliation, and she refuses to lose.

Enlisting the help of her childhood friend and confidant, Brian, Kelly manages to catch Jakes attention. She also unknowingly hooks Brian who tries to sabotage the plan. Kelly finds herself with a dilemma; take the final step with Jake and win the plan or follow her heart and reveal her feelings for Brian.

Praise for The Three Month Plan:

“The Three Month Plan is an enjoyable YA contemporary romance story about friendships and relationships … sometimes you have to look right in front of you to recognize the person who loves you most. Author Kimberley Patterson weaves an entertaining romance story set in San Diego, that follows the trials and tribulations of longtime childhood friends. The Three Month Plan is a lighthearted and tender love story about best friends who have deeper feelings for each other, and the trials and tribulations that they go through during a three month plan that leads them back to each other. This is a cute coming of age romance with quirky characters, funny dialogue, and amusing interactions that  puts a smile on the reader’s face. I really enjoyed that the chapters alternated between Kelly and Brian’s perspectives, the reader is given the chance to get into each of their minds as the angst over their true feelings for each other duels with their reluctance to lose their close longtime friendship. This is the type of YA contemporary romance story that took me back to my own post-high school days when I was like Kelly, trying to figure out what to do with my life mixed with the youthful giddiness of agonizing over guys at the local beach.”-Kathleen, Jersey Girl Book Reviews

“I thought this was a light, fun read.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something lighter and more fun to read rather than deep, dark, and disturbing because this book is one of those that simply refreshes you.”-April, Yes I Read That

“I loved reading this book! Such a fun read, loved all the characters, the interactions and the whole story line. I couldn’t put The Three Month Plan down until I got to the end. This book is a must read!”-Kerie, Amazon Reviewer

“Normally, I read mysteries, thrillers, or sports books. But, I’ve been following this new Author, Kimberley, and I was impressed with her first book, Red Rock. So I read this one too. It is excellently written, and again, as in Red Rock much detail was given to language, grammar and punctuation. It’s nice to see an Author (especially a new one), take pride in their work. Kimberley has again given great descriptions of Characters, locations, and perspectives. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for her next one. Keep it up Kimberley!”-Tonkasid, Amazon Reviewer

“I simply adored The Three Month Plan! I needed this in my reading life right now due to the fact that I’ve been plagued with so much angst lately. The Three Month Plan made me remember why I love a tender love story about best friends turned something more. For the longest of times I was forgetting that it was my most favorite storyline too. But I’ve been hit by that particular book love bug once again, and I have Ms. Patterson to thank for that!  First we have our heroine Kelly. She’s so sweet, and she’s not the stereo typical beautiful heroine that you find in a lot of young adult reads and I really think that’s why I liked her so much.  I adored the dual point of views in this book. For once, the hero was actually really believable. Brian was so sweet and adorable that I wanted to squeeze him and save him for my own daughters one day. (Yeah, I’m weird like that.) I would highly recommend The Three Month Plan to anyone looking for a lighter YA read, but still has the voice of an NA read as well. Ms. Patterson has a great story telling voice, and she created characters that I truly fell in love with. I rooted for them from the get go, and watching them make their mistakes and find their happily ever after was not a torturous journey in the least. Like I said, this was the perfect light read that will make you swoon and feel giddy all in one sitting. Great job Ms. Patterson! You have earned a fan in me!”-Heath1005, Amazon Reviewer

About Kimberley Patterson:

Horses were one of my first loves, and writing soon followed. As a child, I spent hours writing poems, and short stories (about horses). My parents realized that I was horse-obsessed and decided to buy me one after taking riding lessons for two years. I think they hoped that all of the hard work, and hours spent mucking stalls would help me give up this expensive hobby. They were wrong. Writing is still a passion of mine, although now I primarily write fiction. My first novel, Red Rock, was published in 2010, and big surprise, there are horses in it. My second novel, The Three Month Plan was released August 2013.

Other Loves: My family, yoga, skincare and makeup, sushi, and raising money for pediatric cancer. I have two rescue dogs and would have more if there weren’t zoning restrictions. I’m always trying something new, as I tend to get bored very easily. Thankfully, my love of driving around with the gas light on fuels some excitement. I love novels with happy endings, and am a hopeful romantic. My latest obsession is browsing Netflix, and I can name all 50 states in alphabetical order in under 30 seconds. Do I feel a wager coming on?
